Weekend Adventure

This past weekend I went to Manuel Antonio and it was gorgeous! I went with 7 other friends and we stayed in a hostel. Let's just say that was an experience in itself! There was a tailless whip scorpion in our room when we arrived- don't worry it was killed instantly. On Saturday, we went to the beach all day. Surprisingly I got a nice tan which is rare as I usually burn. The only part that got burnt was my arm that had a nice hand print on it as I cannot properly put on suntan lotion. It was so nice to just relax on the beach. I did see Capuchin monkeys, a sloth, and a few deer. A couple of us stayed for the sunset and it was breathtaking! For dinner we went to this restaurant called El Avion which was a restaurant inside a plane. Sunday, we went back to the beach to catch a few more rays then headed to the bus. Our three hour bus ride turned into almost five hours due to traffic. But all in all it was a good weekend! Today, I was happy to see my students and hear about their weekend. Each day is so different but similiar. I am always learning from my students and mentor teacher. I can't wait to see what the rest of the semester holds for me as a student teacher. Tonight, I went to Zumba but I need to work on my dancing as I cannot move like the instructor! It kicked my butt but I had a lot of fun!
