The Adventure Begins!

Hola!

Today has been an eventful day. I said goodbye to my family after spending a week exploring Costa Rica together. Our adventures were great! After leaving them I started my own adventure. I arrived at my host families house and the house is very nice. My room has a nice closet, a tv, and a bed. It has been challenging to communicate as my host family does not speak English! I have done my best though. I attended a family gathering, which brought much stress as I tried to listen to them talk to each other and as I tried to communicate with the family members. Luckily one of the family members speaks English. It was very nice talking to her and her friend. I was invited to a bakery to get a little snack with them! Overall I am very excited for the adventures that await. Tomorrow is my first day at the Country Day School. I can't wait to meet my mentor teacher and my students. Stay tuned for more posts :)
